The concept of AI was first introduced by John Mccarthy and according to him AI is the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, specifically computer programs. AI is the way of making computer controlled robots, computers or software which think intelligently in a same fashion human does. Basically, AI is developed by understanding the basics of human brain (neural network), the way human think, the way human solve some problems, the way human decide and then using outputs of this study as a fundamentals for developing intelligent software and system

The establishment of AI started with the motivation of creating similar intelligence in machines that we have and regard high in humans. Aims:

The ability of a system to calculate, reason, perceive relationships and analogies, learn from experience, store and retrieve information from memory, solve problems, comprehend complex ideas, use natural language fluently, classify, generalize, and adapt new situations. Intelligence is composed of Reasoning, Learning, Problem Solving, Perception and Linguistic Intelligence. Linguistic intelligence, Musical intelligence, Logical-mathematical intelligence, Scientists Spatial intelligence, Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence, Intra-personal intelligence and Interpersonal intelligence are the various types of intelligence.

We can say a machine or a system is artificially intelligent if it is equipped with at least one and at most all intelligences in it.
